We are proud to announce that our Board Chairman, Andre Fowlkes, has been chosen to serve on Memphis Mayor-elect Jim Strickland’s transition team. He will be part of Mayor Strickland’s Financial Responsibility Committee.

Fowlkes, President of Start Co., has been a volunteer official with Orion since 2010, serving in the capacities of Supervisory Committee Chair, Board Member, and recently named Chairman of the Board in the spring of 2015. He also sits on the Board of Directors for the Workforce Investment Network and the State of Tennessee Workforce Development Board.

Of his appointment, Fowlkes says, “I’m honored to be selected by Mayor-elect Strickland and excited to be to part of another team, like Start Co. and Orion, that is dedicated to moving Memphis forward.”
