UrbanArt’s stated mission is to enhance the cultural vibrancy of our communities through the development of public art. They partner with a variety of stakeholders including neighborhood groups, private developers, and municipal authorities to produce artworks of wide ranging media. Since their founding in 1997, the nonprofit has created a substantial public art collection of close to 100 works. And Memphis wouldn’t be home without them!
