For most kids, the summertime break from school means fun and relaxation.  But unfortunately for many children in the Mid South, summertime also means going hungry.

According to the Mid-South Food Bank, every week over 22,000 people in our region depend on food from MSFB for their next meal.  That number increases during the summer when kids who rely on school programs for meals must seek other alternatives.  For them, the Mid-South Food Bank is a lifeline during June and July.

That’s why Operation Feed is so important.  It’s the Mid South Food Bank’s largest food and funds drive of the year, and helps stock resources during these critical summer months.

Orion is participating in Operation Feed again this year and we want you to help!  It’s so easy to make a difference – just pick up a few extra canned goods on your next grocery trip and drop them off at your nearest Orion branch throughout the month of June.  Or you can donate online at midsouthfoodbank.org.
