The doors at our new Medical District Branch have been open for a few weeks, but we officially celebrated it’s opening last Thursday night.

Neighborhood guests joined Orion’s management and board at a ribbon cutting ceremony and reception that evening.  We were happy and honored to have such a turnout of new neighbors, community and nonprofit partners, as well as the many wonderful people and vendors who helped transform our corner at Poplar and Dunlap into something special.

Particular thanks go to the evening’s speakers for their kind words of welcome and congratulations, especially Abby Miller, Director of Programs and Data for the Medical District Collaborative; Rick Kansacht, Sr. Director of Support Services for Le Bonheur’s Children’s Hospital; and Andre Fowlkes of Start Co., Orion’s Board Chair.

It was a wonderful evening that marked an exciting milestone for us.  We look forward to serving this growing community and being an asset in the Medical District’s continued development.
