Alton Cryer and Ebony Mack are two faces you’ll be seeing around town – they’re our new Business Development Team! Get to know them better here, and be on the lookout for them in the coming months as they visit area businesses to extend Orion membership and benefits to your employees:
It’s hard to find a sentence with the words “young,” “leadership,” and “Memphis” that does not also include Alton Cryer’s name. He’s received recognition, awards, and write-ups from a variety of organizations and publications ranging from the Commercial Appeal to the Greater Memphis Chamber. So we feel pretty lucky to have snagged him as our Business Development Officer. Alton comes to Orion after serving Leadership Memphis for 2 years as their Graduate Memphis Program Coordinator. Before that, he was Executive Youth Specialist at the City of Memphis’ Office of Youth Services. He serves on several community boards, and is the co-founder of Setting the Standard Enterprise, a youth and collegiate leadership development group. Alton graduated from the University of Memphis with a B.S.Ed. in Sports & Leisure Management.
Working with Alton is one of Orion’s brightest stars, Ebony Mack. She has served our members for the past 4 years as Assistant Branch Manager at our Midtown and Covington Pike locations. Her outstanding work garnered her recent promotion to Business Development Representative. We love Ebony’s enthusiasm for her new role, especially her description of what she’ll be doing: “Explaining to companies why Orion is the ONLY financial institution they need!”
Ebony received her degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff, and is working on her Master’s. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theat, Inc. and stays active in the community as a youth counselor at her church and a volunteer at Girls, Inc., her favorite Memphis non-profit.
