Each year near the holidays, thousands of Memphians line up outside of Cook Convention Center in Downtown Memphis to receive one of thousands of boxes packed with bread, turkey, chicken, vegetables, toiletries, and more to help prepare their families for Christmas.

These boxes are filled by the volunteers inside at Soulfull Memphis Operation Christmas Basket, a community event organized to share the joy of the holiday season with thousands of seniors and needy families through the gift of a holiday food basket.

Orion employees and their families participated in this year’s event for another year in 2018, working alongside hundreds of volunteers to fill baskets from a conveyor line of items including canned, packaged, and fresh food donated by local sponsors. Other volunteers also helped load boxes in cars and distribute them to recipients in line for these gifts.

This year, boxes were handed out to more than 6,000 Memphis families, a number that grows each year. Orion is proud to support Team Max and Operation Soulfull Christmas Basket in service to the Memphis community we call home.
